From the 1990's to today Micheal Jordan is still considered the one of best basketball players in the NBA, and some might argue that he is the best ever in the NBA. In the 90 Michael Jordan won 6 NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls. After Michael earned his 3rd NBA title he retired to play Major League Baseball for the Chicago White Sox and retired from that after the 1994 MLB strike. When Michael quit MLB he went back to the Chicago Bulls and win 3 more championships from 1996-1998 and of the year of 1999 Michael Jordan was done for good and retired.

1996 summer olympics
During the 1996 Summer Olympics the United states led the olympics in medals being tsiled by Germany, Russia, and China. This Olympics held more memorable moments as well (Michael Johnson's 400m world record in 43.18 sec), and also sad moments when everyone's worst fear was realized when the bombing in Centennial olympic park, it had been the first time a bombing was reported so close to the olympics.

On the the day May 14th 1996, fans of sports and also the world was aware of the AIDS virus as Magic Johnson gave his good-byes to all of his friends, coaches, and teamates as this showed that Magic really cared for those around him and didn't want anyone to come in contact with this diesease, but Magic didn't lose those close even if he tried to keep them away from contact of this diesease proof of this is his wife (Earlitha Kelly) and children (Ervin III Johnson, Andre Johnson, Elisa Johnson) are there to stand by his side to this day.
